Pauline Wilson, meter maid extraordinaire, was a wonderful feature of downtown Concord in the latter part of the twentieth century. She was firm about giving tickets: if you parked illegally or let your meter run out, she wrote you a ticket - period! But she did so with big apologies and a smile. For such service, she was nominated and won Massachusetts Municipal Employee of the year. To celebrate, the town sponsored a parade followed by a reception at Monument Hall.
